Krajné - the big village hidden in the picturesque surroundings in the south-east toe of Myjavská pahorkatina and in Čachtické vrchy at the foot of Malé Karpaty, in the valley of brooks Jablonka and Korytárka. The rarity of the village is a fact that it consists of 50 local parts. Besides itself village Krajné, that is the largest section and the oldest settlement, 49 smaller settlements occur here. Original kopanice misplaced in territory of the village Krajné from 16. to 19. century. Here an interesting thing occurs e.g. names of settlements e.g. Jeruzalem, Nebojsa, Chalupy, Luskovica, Osikovce, Tŕnie, Bukovina, Doliny, Dobrá Mer, Zbehy, Žadovica, Zajačice, Vápenky etc.
Krajné has its own interesting history and rich national traditions. Here actuated significant personalities that entered into history of Slovakia. Peculiar kopaničiarska culture, rich cultural traditions, citizens put in remembrance in 1992 by an occasion of the 600th anniversary of the first written mention about the village. At jubilee celebration in a folklore zone “Krajnianska svadba” (“Krajné’s wedding”) performed three generations from Krajné. The songs, dances and old customs were revived. Among the young an interest in folklore was awoken and the young began to create a new folklore ensemble “Krajňanček”.

Among the first people, that began in 1968 in Krajné to develop bearing on folk music and dance were Miss E. Kubišová. She founded child dancing band, in which she drilled with children many folk dances from kopaničiarsky region. Some of dancers that began in band as little pupils and still in maturity age. After the leave of Miss Kubišová were addicted to folklore schoolteachers A. Kovárová a V. Knapová. Then the ensemble stopped its activity in 1976.
To develop and to maintain the customs of ancestors was the aim of the village mayor Ing. Emil Valášek, the cultural commission and a folklore enthusiastic music master Vladimír Jánoš. Pupils have grown up and therefore were the ensemble renamed to “Krajňanec”.
With the help of these people was established an elementary artistic school in the village. Under the lead of Mr. Jánoš the pupils were brought into secrets of folk music and singing. With his merit young musicians participated in many performances and they garnered deserved ovations. They performed in many different actions in the village: "The meeting of natives, the mother’s day, the celebration of the end of the school year, Christmas programme, also in different competitions in near and far surroundings. In that time was established the dance unit led by Mrs. Ivana Petrovičová. She dedicated children the dance steps and created the choreography of dances. With the connection of these two units began its existence “FS Krajňanček”. The first official performance is dated on 1994, when the ensemble performs in programme on “The meeting of natives”. Since this year has the ensemble operated continuously.
Into the ensemble continually commes younger reinforcement, and as a result of that, the ensemble is devided into “younger“ Krajňanček and “adult“ Krajňanec.

In 1998 began to work for the ensemble in the position of manager Mrs. Zita Kukučková. In 1997 ensemble released the record named Ach Anička čo je Ti? , accompanied by “Krajnianska cimbalovka“ with singer soloists Anička Kružicová and Anička Kubíčková.

Into the ensemble continually commes younger reinforcement, and as a result of that, the ensemble is devided into “younger“ Krajňanček and “adult“ Krajňanec. In 1998 began to work for the ensemble in the position of manager Mrs. Zita Kukučková.
